TOEFL tests will continue to take place at the Language Center.
Short-term cancellation due to corona symptoms: If you suffer from corona symptoms at short notice and therefore cannot rebook the test in the proper way, please send
- the medical proof of your corona disease and
- your ETS ID,
- your date of birth as well as
- the e-mail address with which you registered for the test
directly to TOEFL@ets.org.

The TOEFL®, Test of English as a Foreign Language, is a standardised language test and an internationally recognised instrument for evaluation of English language proficiency in the university sector.
Test Center
Our test center is located at Gatterstrasse 3, 9010 St. Gallen (see Directions & Campus Map).
Preparation
Every semester, we offer custom preparation courses to help you get ready for the TOEFL® iBT. You can find detailed information about our TOEFL preparation courses in our course overview on the right.
Additionally, 8 modern computer workstations equipped with the current versions of the TOEFL® iBT and official preparation materials are available for students in our multimedia room.
Test Structure
The test consists of four parts, the majority of which are multiple choice:
- Reading Comprehension
- Listening Comprehension
- Speaking
- Writing Comprehension
Maximum number of points: 120
Duration of validity: 2 years
